Party at The Patio to benefit Tampa Baseball Museum

Support Tampa’s baseball legacy on Thursday, Feb. 27 at the popular South Tampa bar

The Patio in Tampa is hosting a fundraising event for the Tampa Baseball Museum at the Al Lopez House on Thursday, February 27. Funds raised during the event will help rehabilitate the Al Lopez house, create exhibits that chronicle more than 125 years of local baseball heritage and support the preservation of Tampa’s baseball legacy.

$10 per person, which includes one drink (beer, wine or cocktail) and camaraderie with fellow baseball fans. Register at or by calling (813) 873-7846.

During the event, attendees can purchase tickets for the chance to win prizes, including:

The Tampa Baseball Museum at the Al Lopez House will be a home for celebration, preservation, and education of local baseball culture – from Little League to Major League, and everything in between, including: Factory, Inter-Social, Municipal, Cigar City, and Negro leagues.

The Tampa Baseball Museum will be located in the former home of Tampa’s first baseball Hall of Fame inductee Al Lopez, and cover more than 125 years of local baseball heritage with permanent and rotating exhibits. Opening is set for Fall 2014.
